John JenkinsJohn is the founder of Jenkins Transport, now in his eighties he has retired however is still the cornerstone of the business and contributes to the day to day running. John's career, which has spanned 70 years, initially started as a farmer expanding into the transport business in the early 1980's to subsidise the farm income. |
Adrian Jenkins - PartnerAdrian took a partnership position during the early 2000's following the retirement of his father John. Adrian, with his sister Jean, is responsible for the running of the business both in terms of contact work and hackney carriage. Adrian is also an active farmer maintaining a herd of beef cattle and can often been seen at Dursley swimming pool teaching children and adults to swim. |
Jean Jenkins - PartnerAs a partner in the business, Jean is responsible for the day to day running and takes a keen interest in driver allocation in regard to government contract work. Jean is the busiest driver at Jenkins Transport and covers much of our long distance and prestige work. If you book to go to the airport there a fair chance you'll have the opportunity to chat with Jean. |
Lynne Jenkins - PartnerThe silent partner in the company, Lynne, in a general sense, is happy to leave the running of the business to the rest of the team. Lynne is a very active driver and very popular with the local pub teams (skittles, darts & dominos). |
Julie Clinch - DriverJulie, a mother of 4, is our second longest serving driver. Julie works both day and night for the company and can be seen all over the county buzzing around in 'her' red transit minibus. Julie, a horse lover, not only stables her own horses on Jenkins farm, she is the primary carer for Adrian's sturdy mounts. |
Darren Young - Transport/Accounts ManagerAs a part-time team member at Jenkins Transport Darren's primary responsibility is the allocation of work across the drivers and ensuring our account customers are serviced in a timely manner. Darren has a general oversight role in terms of income and expenditure so if your account is overdue expect a call from Darren. Darren is also a licensed driver so don't be shocked to see him giving you a lift home from the pub on a Saturday night. |
Peter Harris - Contacts DriverFollowing his retirement as a Head teacher, Peter came to work during the day time transporting children to and from school. Aside from the Jenkins clan, Peter is the longest serving member of staff at Jenkins Transport. |
Louise Jenkins - Taxi ControllerAlthough Louise has a full time job, she is a regular taxi controller when the books are busy. Louise has the un-enviable job of making sure the drivers arrive at the correct address at the correct time. When on shift, Louise is an invaluable member of the Jenkins team. |
